FAR AND BEYOND

Always when you
look up there
you set out
far and beyond
everything known earlier
becoming simultaneously a
curious space-time traveller

You admire a
stunning star-born miracle,
a mysterious and devastating
activity of a
black hole or
misty gas clouds
presented as replay

Being on Earth
you also enter
fascinating, distant worlds
trying to estimate
whether they're capable
to harbour life
in any form

An intelligent one,
the more, because
we still perceive
ourselves as the
sole inhabitants of
our tiny corner
of the Universe…

And when you
add unmanned probes,
which are send
in and arrive
from outer space,
you'll realize that
an odyssey continues

Now, change a
reference point; then
"Far and beyond"
transforms into the
IAU's display; a
mankind's conquest chronicle
of the cosmos.
