Solar Observation

When  I was a kid the Sun has always held a fascination for me. I used to bore my parents and sister with questions. In fact the first doctor I went to was an ophthalmologist because I used to stare at the Sun trying to understand it. Well time goes by and  I had most of my childhood questions about the sun somehow answered. When I  bought my first telescope the first thing I saw with it was the sun. I cant forget that day. After watching it for hundreds of times , I am as exited as my first time to see someone else watch the sun for the first time too. Now that someone are kids that are like my age back then when I had questions about the sun and no one to answers me.

On Tuesday I begun my school tour with my new Orion max 90 Telescope which Harsh Ambardekar bought and send me. At the school, not only the students but also the teachers never saw a telescope. It was like we discovered the sun. Such a great time. We saw the sun and its spots. The students asked a lot of questions and I answered their question. And I gave the school library the Celestial event calendars I designed for 2016 Ethiopian year. I also initiated the formation of the first astronomy club in the school. I will keep doing this in different schools.

Below I Shared a video of the solar observation I had with the students.
