My astronomy club is the Los Angeles Astronomical Society (LAAS). Our new club president Keith Armstrong created a weekly public star party in Silverlake, California. This is a small city in Los Angeles county. One of the reporters from the Los Angeles Times newspaper filmed the event that took place two weeks ago.

Having an outreach event like my club's star party is a great way to celebrate Global Astronomy Month (GAM) and engage with your local community.
