The “American” Hotel

In order not to become internationally isolated, the totalitarian regime in Romania accepted a particular American initiative in the 1960s: a 5 star hotel in Central Bucharest!
After its inauguration, the “American” hotel (named Intercontinental) began to host great international personalities from all fields and became also a place of pilgrimage for the Romanians who dreamed of American freedom.
I remembered that the American hotel was ready when the USA sent the first people on the Moon through the Apollo Missions (1969-1973), so I returned there on October 26, 2020 to photograph it under the Moon.
On October 27, 2020
I photographed that hotel under the solar globe.
Then I remembered that the first flyby (Mariner 4, 1964) and the first successful orbiter (Mariner 9, 1971) of the planet Mars, together with the first rover (Mars Pathfinder, 1996-1997) on Mars were also American.
So on October 29, 2020
I returned there to photograph the hotel under an apparent closeness between the Moon and Mars.
