On January 4, 2022
I saw in Bucharest an electric star for the winter holydays throwing artificial falling stars.
The scenery reminded me of the astropoetry shows that I directed at the conferences of the International Meteor Organization (IMC) in 1997-2011 on behalf of the Romanian Society for Meteors and Astronomy (SARM).
Those shows included poems, moments of humour, poetic dramas, sketches and speeches, folk and electronic music, all on astronomical topics.
The first 3 were Romanian and the next 12 included participants from 25 other countries.
I have chosen 12 sequences below:
-IMC 1997, Petnica, Iugoslavia.
-IMC 1998, Stara Lesna, Slovakia (when I performed Comet Halley).
-IMC 2000, Pucioasa, Romania (when I performed a meteor fallen in love).
-IMC 2001, Cerkno, Slovenia (when I performed, with my fellows, a dance of meteors).
-IMC 2002, Frombork, Poland (when I performed the Leonid radiant).
-IMC 2003, Bollmannsruh, Germany.
-IMC 2004, Varna, Bulgaria.
-IMC 2005, Oostmalle, Belgium (a "space" image with Valentin Grigore and me).
-IMC 2007, Bareges, France.
-IMC 2008, Sachtichka, Slovakia.
-IMC 2010, Armagh, Northern Ireland, UK.
-IMC 2011, Sibiu, Romania (when I performed a meteor greeting three galaxies).
