Cosmic Multicultural Bucharest in the Pandemic (139):
On the Edge of the Bucharest Delta
By Andrei Dorian Gheorghe (astro-photo-poem-essay) and Florin Alexandru Stancu (design)
March 4, 2022.
The beginning of the evening twilight caught me on the eastern edge of the Bucharest Delta, just when I was thinking that the new war had dropped bombs 15 kilometers away from my country (and about 200 kilometers away from the Capital City where I live), which has received with compassion and solidarity hundreds of thousands of refugees.
A new war with many civilians (including children) killed and many buildings (including hospitals, schools and historical monuments) destroyed by bombing.
And I walked through the splendor of nature, trying to clear my mind.
When the Sun broke the clouds,
the scenery was so beautiful and peaceful
that I thought that all those who want to start a war
should first take a tour of the Bucharest Delta.
