On January 6, 2022,
under the caress of the Moon,
I visited this observatory where the coordinator Adrian Sonka organized an exhibition of old telescopes made by Bucharestian sky lovers.

One of the best telescope builders, Matei Alexescu, was the coordinator of the Bucharest Municipal Observatory and the Bacau Planetarium between the 1950s and the 1990s.

Another excellent telescope builder was Vladimir Boico, a president of the Bucharest Astroclub and the first man to carry a telescope on Omu Peak (over 2500 m altitude) in the 1940s.
Thus, he became the best astronomer climber in Romania
not for any book of records,
but for my soul.
