Cosmic Multicultural Bucharest in the Pandemic (284):
Honoring Total Solar Eclipses (2)
By Andrei Dorian Gheorghe (astro-photo-poem-essay) and Florin Alexandru Stancu (design)

On June 3, 2022 the Astronomical Institute of the Romanian Academy hosted the launch of a book about total solar eclipses, "12 SHADOWS - in love with eclipses" by amateur astronomer, national eclipsoman and astronomy editor of the magazine "Stiinta si Tehnica" Catalin Beldea.
First I was happy to see the two contemporary national heroes in terms of observing solar eclipses, Valentin Grigore (president of SARM and organizer of national expeditions around the world) and the author of the book, Catalin Beldea.

Then, in front of a large audience of sky lovers (professionals and amateurs), living legends of Romanian astronomy and science gave short speeches: Mirel Birlan (current director of the Astronomical Institute), Alexandru Mironov (moral leader of “Science and Technique”) and Magda Stavinschi (former director of the Astronomical Institute).
The same thing was done by representatives of the Neverland publishing house, while Catalin Beldea told about his observational expeditions around the world, accompanied by his own fascinating photographs.

In the end I presented a short poetic-humorous moment (photographed by the young professional astronomer Simon Anghel), with an astroproverb dedicated to the heroine of this meeting, the Total Solar Eclipse, and an epigram for her happy male ballet dancer, Catalin Beldea.

I reproduce my astroproverb below (translation without rhythm and rhyme):
If you want to live
enjoying the coolness,
don't build your house
under a solar eclipse!
