AIRA’s Asteroid Day 2022 (5)

The first presentation of the president of SARM, Valentin Grigore, at AIRA that day was called “Meteors - messengers of comets and asteroids”, and synthesized his complex astronomical and historical view about these heavenly bodies and their connections, in front of an enthusiastic audience.
At the end, I completed him with a short astro-humanistic discourse and then I recited an astropoem that I had published in 1999 in WGN - the Journal of the International Meteor Organization:
WONDERFUL FIREBALL

“What a magnitude!”
said the visual observer.
“What a color!”
said the photographic observer.
“What a wave!”
said the radio observer.
“What an aspect!”
said the telescopic observer.
“What a celestial document!”
said the video observer.
But I kept silent
because I knew
that its real brightness
will be recorded
by our souls.
