A feline in AIRA’s park reminded us that the eyes of a cat accumulate light and see better than humans at night thanks to their “tapetum lucidum” structure, while people see better at night thanks to the telescopes.
Then Octavian Blagoi invited us to the Sun Dome (originally created for the International Geophysical Year 1958) for a complex demonstration of solar astronomy.
And a fascinating lesson to see better also during the day
thanks to the telescope,
the real eye of the cat for people.
