Another important moment in our expedition was when Dan-George Uza, Marian Niculescu and I found the grave of Stefan Hepites (1851-1922), the one who founded the Meteorological Institute of Romania in the 1880s together with other national services: measures and weights, geomagnetism, exact time, as well as the first professional meridian room.
