In the pre-morning of September 24, I saw the wonderful Orion for the first time in 2022.
This sublime constellation inspired the name of the first Romanian astronomical magazine, founded by Victor Anestin in 1907 in Bucharest.
So that Dan Uza and I started the day looking for the grave of this first great Romanian popularizer of astronomy in another elite cemetery, Grivita.

Victor Anestin (1875-1918) founded and led the first Romanian national astronomical society (1908-1912), wrote the first Romanian science fiction novel (1899), made translations from Shakespeare, Flammarion and many others, researched the national observational traditions, wrote the most beautiful Romanian book to popularize astronomy in the 20th century (“How to Learn the Stars”,1913).

In front of Victor Anestin's grave, I had the impression that even the Sun adjusted his brightness:

“Let there be
respect
for the memory
of a symbol
(and the idol!)
of Romanian amateur astronomy!”
