COMPANION ANIMALS

An indiscreet reporter asked me
if I have any companion animals.
Yes - I answered.
In the winter nights I go up into the sky.
There I become Orion
and walk with a greater dog and a lesser dog.
I also use to take care of
a rather rambunctious constellated giraffe -
a kind of rara avis -
and from time to time
I have to shout:
