ASTRONOMICAL MEETINGS WITH THE LITTLE ONES
The meetings are held in the public library '' Fernando Buitrago Morales '' and have the presence of children who belong to the reading circle of the institution, they are joined by the direction Lic. Pastora Urbina and other members of the library. These talks are in charge of our representative from Boaco, Mr. Mauricio Garcia, who strives to make them enjoyable, fun and above all full of many questions. Most of the children have ideas about the Sun, the Moon, the Earth and the stars, in general. As the meetings go on, it is inevitable that the children learn and ask new questions and make new comments.Definitely, they awaken their curiosity and desire to know what lies beyond, awaken their passion and the impetus to know about the cosmos.
We must consider the importance of teaching science to children, and a great gateway is Astronomy, it opens the doors to the universe. We have to teach them to observe, to appreciate, to be excited. We hope to continue growing to provide more and better science experiences to all Nicaraguan citizens.
