AstroBoost, a UK-based project that supports astronomy groups with resources for outreach activities and events.
Dr Jenny Shipway, an experienced Science Communication professional, runs this ongoing multi-phase project to provide communication resources and training for astronomical societies in the UK. Resources include materials for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) activities, the James Webb Space Telescope, inclusion and accessibility.
Jenny is currently looking for UK astronomical societies to
get involved with the next phase of AstroBoost,
participating in a national JWST-themed project. Societies will receive a resource pack, including an infrared camera, hands-on activities for children aged 8 to 14, and in-person training to deliver outreach events.Although the project is UK based, the resources available on the AstroBoost website and its links to other websites could be helpful to outreach astronomers across the World.
