The Los Angeles Astronomical Society (LAAS) holds monthly star parties throughout the year in partnership with the observatory, presenting astronomy to the public. Very large crowds of both local residents and tourists travel up to the observatory to enjoy an evening of discovery and wonder, learning about and enjoying the true beauty of the sky..
