Cosmic Multicultural Bucharest in the Pandemic (14):
On the Old Segment of Bucharest’s Universal Street

On December 29, 2020
the Sun inspired me to walk on the old segment of the Lipscani Street, which begins with a statue of the she-wolf breastfeeding two twin brothers, Romulus and Remus, legendary founders of Rome (in fact, an old gift from the Rome Mayoralty to Romania, also a Latin country).
The Lipscani Street in the historical center of Bucharest was created around 1700 to become the main commercial street in Wallachia.
Initially dominated by German merchants (from Leipzig = Lipsca for Romanians), it became in time open to everyone from all over the world who wanted to make trade.
Today on this street we can see especially buildings from the 19th century which host many Romanian and foreign companies.
Unfortunately, although usually agglomerated, now I saw it deserted because of the pandemic restrictions.
However…
Some consumers of food and drink in capsules
(I don’t know if they were earthlings
or came from beyond the Moon,
maybe even from the star Capella -
generous with her viewers in those days)
made me think that even aliens are welcome
on Bucharest’s universal street.
