Cosmic Multicultural Bucharest in the Pandemic (145):
Between the Tarca Church and the Rugby Game
By Andrei Dorian Gheorghe (astro-photo-poem-essay) and Florin Alexandru Stancu (design)
February 1, 2022.
A pale sun and a strangely dark day.
I visited the bell tower of Tarca Church, founded in the 1820s,
when rugby was invented in England.
Coincidentally, there is a rugby stadium nearby that in 2015 hosted the match between the municipal sports club of Bucharest and a secondary representative from Great Britain, England Counties XV (score 18-26).
For me,
the most beautiful moment on that cloudy day was when the Sun,
inspired by the solar cross of
the bell tower of Tarca Church,
broke the clouds as a sign of goodwill
for our planet.
