Cosmic Multicultural Bucharest in the Pandemic (158):
A Special Ascension
By Andrei Dorian Gheorghe (astro-photo-poem-essay) and Florin Alexandru Stancu (design)
March 15, 2022.
Walking near the foot of the Hill of the Romanian Orthodox Patriarchate (Mitropoly Hill),
I saw a solar halo.
It was a time when the pandemic had subsided (the 5th wave had been easy, but the 6th wave was expected) and the war in the neighbors psychologically affected many of my compatriots (who bought too much gas and food, as well as iodine tincture against a nuclear conflagration), so I decided to try a purifying ascent to Brancoveanu's Tower (made in the 1690s) and the Patriarchal Church (made in the 1650s).
On that day,
the solar halo,
followed by the Moon
and the Winter Triangle,
seemed to me
a heavenly march of hope.
