Cosmic Multicultural Bucharest in the Pandemic (200):
GAM 2022 - Looking for Helios’ Chariot
By Andrei Dorian Gheorghe (astro-photo-poem) and Florin Alexandru Stancu (design)
In Greek astromythology,
the Sun is the god Helios,
who is carried in the sky
by a flying chariot.
In Romanian astromythology,
the main seven stars in the constellation Ursa Major
form an asterism called the Great Chariot.
On April 6, 2022
I looked for Helios's chariot,
but I didn't see it.
Instead I saw the Sun
setting over a car park.
I looked for Helios 'chariot
in Venus' Belt,
but it wasn't there either.
Then I looked for Helios' chariot
around the Moon,
but I had no chance of finding it.
I finally found a Great Chariot in the sky,
but it wasn't Helios' chariot!
