The Botanical Garden in Bucharest was founded in 1860 by Carol Davila (an Italian doctor based in Romania)
and moved to its current (larger) location in 1881 by Dimitrie Branza
(a Romanian professor, doctor and naturalist who expanded and enriched it).

On April 13, 2022
I had the pleasure of participating in the celebration of Global Astronomy Month right here,
thanks to the initiative of the Students' Association at the University of Bucharest (ASUB),
which invited the Romanian Society for Meteors and Astronomy (SARM) and the Bucharest Astroclub
to offer an evening of observations with the telescope to students and the general public.

Walking through this wonderful garden,
I understood once again that
you can get anywhere following the path of the Sun,
the Moon is a part of the Earth…

and you, with goodwill, ambition and passion,
can study here
terrestrial astronomy
and celestial botany.
