A JOVIAN ASTROPOETRY DIALOGUE WITH ZIGMUND TAUBERG
By Andrei Dorian Gheorghe
.
.
Shortly before the opposition of the planet Jupiter on December 7, 2024, Zigmund Tauberg is now setting a new world record among sky lovers, publishing an astropoem at 97 years, one month and a few days. (As usual, he also wrote this one in Romanian with rhyme and rhythm, and I translated it into English as best I could.)
.
THE STORMY PLANET
By Zigmund Tauberg
.
An apparent bright star
rises in the sky,
sliding on the canopy.
It is the largest and heaviest of
the planets of the Sun.
It has almost a hundred satellites
and offers a fantastic magnetosphere
to its surroundings.
In its atmosphere
there are terrible, violent tempests.
and a red spot is really
an apocalyptic, mad storm
that lasts for ages.
.
This is what happens in
the largest of the planets
of the Sun. a gigantic one
with a huge mass and special class,
a real and scary windy net.
.
It’s just Jupiter, the stormy planet!
.
JOVIAN HAIKU
By Andrei Dorian Gheorghe
.
I don't feel touched by
Jovian storms. Earth’s cyclones
are enough for me!
