A COMICAL TO COSMIC DIALOGUE
(Inspired by a real humorous dialogue with Adrian Bruno Sonka, coordinator of the Bucharest Municipal Observatory)
.
.
Somewhere in the Universe,
the famous galactic astronomer
Sonkaus Adrianicus told me:
-I know that on your planet
the International Year of Astronomy
was once organized,
and now the Global Astronomy Month
is organized annually.
This is very good,
it means that even the laziest sky lovers
can achieve something during it.
But, earthlings,
why don't you also celebrate
the Global Decade of Astronomy
or the Global Century of Astronomy?
.
-Because many sky lovers
can change their preoccupations
in a decade
and most people can't capture
the beginning and the end
of a century alive! -
I answered him.
.
-I know that you, earthlings, also organize
the International Astronomy Day
twice a year -
continued Sonkaus Adrianicus.
But why don't you also celebrate
the Global Astronomy Week
or the Global Astronomy Hour…
or even the Global Astronomy Second?
.
-Because we celebrate
the World Space Week and the Earth Hour,
and we can't all perfectly match
our clocks for a second! -
I answered him.
That's why, dear Sonkaus Adrianicus,
every edition of Global Astronomy Month
is welcome,
it helps us to better measure
how much of us is earthly
and how much of us is heavenly!
