An Astropoetic Medallion with Alex Vizitiu

By Andrei Dorian Gheorghe

.

.

Only if you show it

respect and love, the starlight

kneels at your feet

(Andrei Dorian Gheorghe)

.

IT expert Alex Vizitiu, one of the most important members of the Romanian Society for Meteors and Astronomy (SARM), returns to Astronomers Without Borders with a group of creations (translated into English by me):

.

-THREE ASTROPOPES BY ALEX VIZITIU

.

IMMENSITY

.

Over things known

and unknown

the Universe stretches.

Like a candle

I measure its size.

.

SHOW ME THE WAY

.

Show me the way to the next nova

Through the silent meaning of abyssal voids

Where the end sings mercilessly

And time flees into ancestral stars.

.

To burn for a moment like a lightning bolt,

Carried by waves of stardust,

To fall, to melt and then to be promised

To a sparkle that trembles in shadows.

.

To be a dust, a wind, a longing among the sparks

And to be reborn in exploded hearts,

To be an echo of fires and ideas

In the roar born from forgotten worlds,

.

In the long, cold and undulating night

Show me the way to the next nova.

.

SOLAR ECLIPSE

.

Eclipse in silence.

The Sun, in contemplation,

tastes betrayal.
