The Day of Darkness
By Clarence G. Underwood
.
The sun cycle goes on and on.
It lights the Earth and keeps us
Warm. Within a certain range
The temperature gauge does
Move. As long as it stays in that
Range man can continue on!
The light of the sun is
A familiar sight. It gives us
Bright day and lights the moon
At night. But how would we do
If that light disappeared. Would
The sun go dark if the sunspots
Spread. The day of darkness would appear!
Imagine that a sunspot
Engulfed the sun, would there
Still be light for everyone? Would
Day turn into night and how long
Would it last? We know that the
Possibility exist because the sun
Is just gas. The magnetism in the
Sun could potentially create a
Sunspot which could blanket the
Sun. If that happened how would
We react? Could it mean the end of
Civilization? Is that true is that a fact?
Although I’m an astronomer this might be
Science fiction and not science fact. So,
Consider the possibility and think
About that!
