Stop and Think!

What is truth do we really know?
The stars are shining with a glow.
We seek peace, but it is hate that
we show! We are one, looking into
your eyes I see a reflection of me.
It’s like the reflection of light
Into a mirror that I can see!
We are all born and we all die, we
are the same you and I! We all
have eyes, but we all don’t see
the same truth, how can that be?
It’s like a conjunction, an alignment
in the sky, we see it and don’t
understand their distance in the sky.
We talk about race and gender
too. Yes, we are all different on the
surface, but we have all been
children me and you! Our parents
were our gods and they made the
rules. No one is perfect which included
our parents too! It is natural to love
but hate is forced. Open your mind
to ideas and let your heart be the boss.
Stars were considered gods and they
ruled man. They came in different sizes
and colors too, but we accepted them,
we should accept it in ourselves too!
Politics and religions, those are the
great divides. Each has lead to death
and wars, but by them we abide.
The light of the stars travels through
space and reaches our eyes by God's
grace. It itself doesn’t cause wars but can
lead to peace, like the historical Star of
Bethlehem that presented God’s peace!
Perhaps it is time for mankind to take
a stand and understand that we all live
off the land! Our basic needs are all
the same. Let us seek health and peace
again! Let us realize that we’re all the same.
Then perhaps we can live in peace again.
Stop and think!
