Late in Spring
.
It is late in May, a late spring day.
As I looked at the Sun, I didn’t
See any sunspots, not one. The
Day was bright and I was warmed
By the heat of the Sun. I did see a
Butterfly and hummingbird, they
We’re enjoying the bright sunny
Day! As the day passed and the
Evening came on, a breeze began
To blow which brought a hazy
Carpet across the sky. The darkening
Sky showed some stars, there up
High was Ursa Major. Looking to
The west there I did spy Jupiter,
sinking in the Western sky!
Looking with my telescope, I didn’t
See its 4 moons. The haze had gotten
Thicker, I could see the crown but not
The jewels. The breeze had graduated
To a light wind. It is New Moon, but I’m
Calling it a night my friend! Good night!
