Yesterday we went to the desert for a farewell meeting with Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan–ATLAS).
I knew that it would be impossible to see him with my naked eye, even with long exposure photography, and it would be very difficult to recognize him.
I equipped myself with a tripod and a cell phone as well as a Dwarf II robotic telescope.
Although it is a desert, the little settlement causes light pollution and there was also quite a bit of haze in the sky.
In the photo you can see the Milky Way, also in one of its last appearances this year, and right on the horizon the planet Venus.
Dwarflab engineers released a software update just yesterday that enables an easy find of the comet, using the robotic telescopes and after calibrations that lasted several minutes, and stacking photos of several minutes more, we already got a nice picture of the comet and we could also tell where it is in the photo taken from the phone with an exposure of about four minutes.
The photo from the phone was processed using Photoshop.
The image from the "dwarf" was processed in the Lightroom Lite application for the phone.
The combination of the images - with the help of Photoshop.
