ASTRONOMY FOR YOUTH – COCHABAMBA, BOLIVIA EVENT #IAU100 #MOONLANDING50

Hello Astronomers!

As part of worldwide events in #MoonLanging50 and #IAU100. An event dedicated for youth on development of Astronomy in Cochabamba Bolivia was realized.

Astronomy for Youth – Cochabamba, Bolivia

Teens and kids prepared for a special presentation, observation practice and use of the telescope by various astronomy enthusiasts and educators.

The activities of the event were as follow:

  • Presentation of 50th anniversary of Moonlanding of Apollo II mission.
  • Dynamics for learning of students. Prizes and items were provided to students.
  • Presentation of part recognition and use of telescopes.
  • Documentary session
  • Use of MoonLanding50 contest winners Telescope and other instruments.

The students of the U.E. Insparqui, San Agustín School, H. Boquerón School and U.E. September 21st. were received. Presentations were made in commemoration of 50 anniversaries of the Apollo II mission moon landing.

AstroEdu - Cochabamba Volunteers, Icarus Astronomy Group and guest professors collaborated during the event.

All goals of the event were reached, and this experience for Worldwide IAU events experience will serve for future activities in development of Astronomy in Cochabamba, Bolivia!
