Stellar Toddlers

.

.

The rubric ‘stellar toddlers’ seemed to haunt

with astrals of unsteady gait on high

endeavoring to take a stellar jaunt

although in fixed position in the sky,

.

fixed seemingly to us within our gaze

in Eagle Nebula where ‘Pillars’ rise

those ‘of Creation’ called in words of praise,

celestially immense in cosmic size.

.

They’re seven thousand light-years far away

and stretching four to five light-years in scope,

for Mankind oft submerged in deep dismay

iconic in their image huge in hope.

.

This open cluster starry is the home

where these sidereals recently wrought

reside, amidst the seas of cosmic foam

with deaths and births empyreal e’er fraught.

.

To say they formed recently is of course

a term that’s relative for spatial time.

Indeed the cosmos is a tour de force

beyond our ken, in every sense sublime,

.

albeit humankind appears to choose

to be immersed in skirmishes aground

in lieu of gravitating to the views

of all the awesome wonders that abound.

Image and info ~ This open star cluster is home to stellar “toddlers” that formed recently. They emit ultraviolet radiation that causes the surrounding nebula of cosmic material to glow. These stars shine from the Eagle Nebula, which is home to the iconic Pillars of Creation (not in this field of view). This Hubble Classic view focuses in on a small portion of the nebula, which is located roughly 7,000 light-years away.

What a beautifully poetic reflection! "Stellar Toddlers" captures the essence of cosmic wonder and human aspiration so eloquently. The imagery of "astrals of unsteady gait" learning to journey among the stars resonates deeply, reminding us of both the fragility and the boundless potential of life in the universe. The reference to the Eagle Nebula and the "Pillars of Creation" adds a profound layer, merging art and science into a narrative of hope and awe. Truly a stellar composition in every sense!
