This nebula, near the star cluster NGC 2074, is a firestorm of raw stellar creation.

New Stars

.

.

New stars are formed unceasingly

in never-ending majesty

to luminate the heavens’ glow

as skies put on nocturnal show

in darkened vault of filigree.

.

Some feel a flash of ecstasy

and into vast beyonds would flee

as earthlings sensing here below

new stars are formed.

.

For dust of stellars all are we

perchance from others born to be,

cast ‘round the cosmos to and fro

while we attempt to row, row, row,

as from the astral tracery

new stars are formed.

About 170,000 light-years away, this region is within the Large Magellanic Cloud – a satellite galaxy to our own Milky Way Galaxy – which is a fascinating, relatively nearby cosmic laboratory for astronomers to observe how stars form and evolve.
