Night of the Shooting Stars

Day started at 11am at ESC! Reunion with the members of the Mars Society Belgium with whom we ate outside at noon in a super friendly atmosphere! With Pierre-Emmanuel, Mégane, Sarah, Olivier, Fabrice, Anne, Christian and I forget others.

After  discussing space , I moved the car to be closer to the Sun observation site and there, it was 4 hours non stop outside in the Sun with hundreds of people who lined up to see the star of the day with the Lunt (400 mm), in the company of other sun telescopes. Then, storage of the Lunt, visit to the rotunda for a while (The MSB was right next to Astronamur-Astrovéga). Meeting with  Kevin, Maëlle, Jean-Louis, Julien, Andy, Pierre, Olivier, Jacques, Philippe (Demoulin and VGL), Francis, Frédéric, Jennifer.

In the evening, meal with Thierry whose birthday it is!  After Yves Pleindoux's conference with Pierre-Emmanuel, (about his upcoming Spaceship 2 ride,  I decided to take the Unistellar Evscope out of the trunk and observe and photograph the sky from the courtyard of the planets with many curious invisible in the dark (we could see very well the Milky Way). Saturn above the roof and Jupiter towards the end just above the wood.

And Perseids!!

There were fewer people than in 2022 (well, at the restaurant) and fortunately because it allowed us to queue for less time to eat.

Back at 00:45 and back just as a beautiful crescent moon was rising!

It was a day very rich in meetings, reunion discussions, sharing with excellent weather and by far the longest NEF (having the MSB and Astrovéga  representations).

Ot was sunny, crowdy ans starry ! A great Milky Way after 11 PM.
