Why Astronomy Outreach is Crucial
Astronomy outreach is essential for fostering curiosity in young minds, who will ultimately shape the future of the field. Outreach projects provide aspiring astronomers the skills and inspiration they need to embark on their cosmic journeys. By organising educational programs, stargazing events, and hands-on workshops, these initiatives ignite a passion for inquiry and discovery in young enthusiasts, laying the foundation for future scientific advancements.
As part of ASTRO and AWB, we regularly plan and organise astronomy outreach programs for the general public and students. Over the past year, I have had the excellent opportunity to interact with thousands of people, and I continue to do so.
