No matter how far my paths had wandered,
or how countless the lands I had crossed,
one star kept its gentle vigil—
glowing steadfast in the darkened sky.
At first, I knew not—
was I chasing its silver flame,
or was it leading me, silently,
through the hush of unseen roads?
One by one, the other stars dimmed,
their voices fading into night’s breath—
yet that one star endured,
as though born to shimmer in every horizon.
And at last, I knew—
it was no fleeting wonder,
but the dazzling North Star—Polaris
my compass, my quiet guide.
