Eisenhower’s proposal to create NASA, the Trust for the National Mall, in association with Hofstra University, invites the public to attend a free stargazing event at the Eisenhower Memorial in Washington, DC. Join us for a telescope viewing of the Orion Nebula, colored double stars, and brilliant star clusters as we celebrate President Eisenhower’s contributions to space exploration.
Telescopes and hands-on activities will be provided by the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Astronomy Club, Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum, National Capital Astronomers, Northern Virginia Astronomy Club, Montgomery College Planetarium.
Come out and experience the wonders of outer space on the grounds of the Eisenhower Memorial. The event is free and open to the public.
