Imagination

Soar into the Milky Way
catch a dusty comet tail
reach up to limpid stars aglow
let your imagination sail.

Make wishes on each shooting star
gaze at the Moon each night
observe the rings of Saturn
Let imagination take flight.

View the ruddy planet Mars
the stormy eye on Jupiter
slip through the veil of Venus
Let imagination explore.

Fly through the constellations
or star clusters bound so bright
Let your imagination wander
throughout the beauty of the night.

We may be physically restricted during the continuing pandemic but our minds are free to wander and dream. The human spirit breaks the chains of daily reality and frees us all,  to imagine the world beyond our touch. Imagination is the key to sanity.
