Barlad Expedition 2022 (6)
By Andrei Dorian Gheorghe (astro-photo-poem) and Florin Alexandru Stancu (design)
In a room of the Vasile Parvan Museum, Ciprian Vintdevara opened the 2022 Barlad Astronomy Symposium, with the participation of the Astronomical Institute of the Romanian Academy, the Astronomical Complexes of Barlad, Galati, Suceava and Chisinau (Republic of Moldova), the Perseus, Calin Popovici and Vega Astroclubs, the Romanian Astronomical Society for Meteors and Astronomy (SARM), and the astronomical culture publishing house Astromix (whose books were displayed right on the conference organizer's table).
Honorarily, the first lecturer was the director of the observatory and planetarium in Chisinau, Vitalie Chistol, who spoke about the history of teaching astronomy in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
Due to an unfavorable historical context, the two Romanian-speaking states are today separated by the Prut River, so that any demonstration of moral unionism is welcome.
Consequently, SARM and Astromix (through me) donated some books to the Chisinau Astronomical Complex in a small ceremony.
A book bridge over the Prut River!
