A MEDALLION WITH ALEX VIZITIU
By Andrei Dorian Gheorghe

With or without clouds
another night will always come
with tender stars
(Andrei Dorian Gheorghe)
.
It seems that now it is about the newcomer in Romanian astropoetry in 2024, an amateur astronomer (and an IT-ist), with a style accessible even for the smallest. A group of astropoems written by him (and translated by me into English) will follow:
.
THOUGHTS OF SEPTEMBER 2024
Four astropoems by Alex Vizitiu
.
I THOUGHT…
.
I thought this morning:
the fog should disappear by evening,
Orion should defeat the beasts,
Bellatrix should watch over us,
Betelgeuse should explode...
.
The night sky wakes up in our lands
while the magic Universe expands.
.
TEMPORARILY (LUNAR ECLIPSE)
.
Under the shadow of the Earth,
the Moon slowly fades,
passes temporarily in the sky,
shades time with her red cloak,
guards the silence of the galaxy,
the mystery announced
only by the moment.
.
ASTEROID 2024 PT5
.
After the latest news
we have a guest again,
it returns, unexpectedly,
just a distant body
that reminds us through unknown chords
of the sky with thousands of words.
.
FRIENDS OF THE NIGHT
.
Between midnight and morning,
a family of dogs appears,
Sirius is among them,
Castor and Pollux, beside,
Chario-Taurus above,
Betelgeuse lies in wait,
the hunter is strained
and seeks Cetus,
Monoceros knocks on the window,
Lepus rides a branch.
.
And so,
night after night,
they will appear earlier and earlier
(it’s their right).
