The farthest I've come...

Yesterday, after a few weeks, today is cloudy with clear skies almost all night.
Of course, this is a great time to see where the  DWARF II can go.
So I aimed far away: the Whirlpool Galaxy - M51, which is 23 million light years away from the Milky Way...
Total exposure of about an hour. I must say this is pretty amazing for a "telescope" with a focal length of 100mm (ten centimeters!!!!) and an 8 megapixel camera.
I have known this object for many years. I watched it through telescopes with relatively large apertures, 10, 12, 14, and even 16 inches, and I have never seen anything like what this tiny device allows...
This is the image that came out of the device - almost without further processing (I reduced noise)
I think that the world of amateur astronomical observations is going through a fundamental process and change. And the idea of an elaborate observatory that you can put in a small bag and take anywhere - just comes true.
