I am sad to report that according to Sky & Telescope, Orion Telescope ceased operations on July 9th, 2024. The parent company of Orion and Meade telescope manufacturers has shut its California offices. Orions website is down and the telephone number is not answered and goes to a full mailbox. I am sorry to see them go as I have owned many of their telescopes and still own a couple now. That means there will not longer be support fror any of their telescopes, and it looks like Meade may be shutting down too although their website still works at the time of this post. What a sad day it is in astronomy!
