Hi, folks! I want to share AstroBoost with you, a UK-based project run by
Dr Jenny Shipway that supports astronomy groups with resources to help with outreach events and activities.
The
astroboost.org website, launched in late 2022, offers a range of activity ideas, including STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths), outreach training, inclusion and accessibility. Some fantastic resource materials also focus on the James Webb Space Telescope.
Jenny is expanding the project and is looking for 16 UK astronomy societies to participate
in a national JWST-themed project. There are also exciting opportunities for societies that might be interested in taking part in a space-engineering project that requires the involvement of at least two society members who are engineers (current or retired).
Whilst the project is UK based, the resources could be helpful to fellow AWB members across the World.
