Half an hour before Venus got behind the Moon, this morning, I went outside with my Canon stabilized binoculars. It was very cloudy and windy. Nevertheless, I spotted the Moon, and Venus below left. I would loose track of them or only of Venus, was pleased I could also see them without any instrument. There were anxious minutes but then, U could see the whole event until about one minute before occultation ! I consider this as a success, even though the pictures taken with the smartphone didn't show anything worth showing. The weather wasn't promising but I still could follow it !
