Asteroid Day is some weeks away! Have you already started planning your event?
We would like to invite you again to participate in the United Nations proclaimed Asteroid Day and educate the public about asteroids and space! Join fellow organizations, scientific and educational institutions, associations, and astronomy groups to host events locally to raise awareness about how to protect our home planet, how space resources can be used in the future, and how asteroids tell the story of the origins of the solar system.
Do you want some suggestions for activities to enjoy this day? Check out this guide below:

We offer a special gift: a poster exhibition on Asteroid Missions with 15 visually stunning posters for budget-friendly printing. Each poster will give access to additional information using mobile devices;

An Asteroid Day event is NOT restricted to museums, planetariums, observatories, and science centers. Gather friends and family for a special Asteroid Day at home. Spice it up with film screenings about asteroids and planetary defense, musical numbers, or safe and delicious experiments in your own kitchen!

Contests for a large audience can be organized through internet tools and social media. Explore your engagement capacity!
We regularly post other suggestions and more to help you make your Asteroid Day event exciting. Check out our event organizer toolkit (available in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese) for even more ideas!
Once you have planned your event, register it on asteroidday.org so you can be featured on our social media!
Be sure to take lots of photos and videos then fill out an event report on our website to get the chance to have a custom article written about your organization on our website! Our goal is to highlight you and your work towards educating the public about asteroids!
We hope to see what you plan for Asteroid Day 2024!
