Through the national astronomical park of AIRA, we also looked for the first official meridian room in Romania, created by Stefan Hepites in 1893 to track the position of the stars for the national meteorological service he had initiated a few years before, but first we found the star dome from the 1960s.
Then we found the first Meridian Building in a picturesque natural environment, where Dan-George Uza (the leader of our expedition), Marian Niculescu and I felt the emotion of the beginnings.
A similar emotion I felt the first pre-morning that followed,
when I saw the brightest star, Sirius,
rising from the trees in front of my balcony
for the first time in the autumn of 2022.
