Cosmic Multicultural Bucharest in the Pandemic (352):
About a Precious Historical Memory
By Andrei Dorian Gheorghe (astro-photo-poem-essay) and Florin Alexandru Stancu (design)

In the last days of October 2020,
I meditated at the monument to the Romanian firefighters (inaugurated in 1901), who in September 1848 showed one of the most heroic deeds in history, comparable to the Battle of Thermopylae (480 BC, 300 Spartans against 100,000 Persians), the Siege of Yasna Gora (1655, 300 Poles against 3,500 Swedes) and the Siege of the Alamo (1836, 250 Texans against 2,500 Mexicans).
Thus, in Bucharest, during the European Revolution of 1848, 150 Romanian firefighters fought their way through an army of 9,000 Ottomans.

In the last days of October 2020,
I meditated at the monument to the Romanian firefighters
and saw how the God of War, Mars,
became a pacifist planet,
turning into the Moon and the Sun.
