2024 Arkansas Total Solar Eclipse End

By Keith Sowell, PhD posted 23 days ago

It was great to see the eclipse in its totaliy, perfectly centered, and I got some great pictures and videos. It was very busy with traffic backed up for miles after the event. I took one great picture and it is posted on the blog to share with you. I hope everyone got to see the eclipse as it will not happen in another 20 years. Best wishes and clear skies!

Note: I had to turn the picture on its side, 90 degrees counter-clockwise, to accomidate this posting because of limitations for posting pictures. The red flare line to the right, should be on the bottom of the picture. That is the diamond ring getting ready to appear, just after totality as viewed from Russellville Arkansas directly under the totality. Notice on the side coming into light (waxing side) that it is red or Infrared color, and the opposite side (waining side) is a bluish-purple or Ultra Violet color.
